We are here. . . .
Well, we made it to Utah. We are living in Hyde Park, which is about 4 miles north of Logan. We love it here and are so glad to be out of the humididty. Tuesday will be 3 weeks since we got here. Julia is working for Bear River Mental Health in the front office. It is a non-profit organization that helps people with mental illnesses. Ben will be headed off to school at Utah State University on August 25 for Civil Engineering. He will probably be getting a job too. Prospects are Bear River Mental Health doing about the same thing he did in Springfield (Psych Tech), but in a group home setting. Another prospect is Cache Honda & Yamaha as a parts clerk. Both are willing to work with the school schedule. So we will see how that goes. Maddie is right at home here. We are living in the basement of Julia's parent's house. We are grateful for their hospitality in allowing us to do so. Last week was interesting. Tuesday morning, the washer decided to not stop filling, but no one found out until about an hour later. By then, the ceiling in the room under it had collapsed, flooding that room (which had all our storage) and almost half of the basement. Fun stuff!! Luckily, the only thing damaged was the carpet and dry wall. We were able to rescue all our stuff - pictures, Ben's mission collection, and lots of other stuff. New flooring will be going down in the basement, but we are not sure exactly what, or when. Hopefully before too long, we will be posting some pictures up here. In the meantime, just bear with us.

Glad you guys made it safe and sound. That is great that things are falling into place for you guys. Now that you are closer we hope to see you guys sometime soon.
Yeah! you made it! It sounds like things are going pretty smoothly, except for the flood, but how wonderful to be able to save all your stuff. While we lived in UT we flooded our basement 2 or 3 different times!! (bathtub, pipes etc.) and when we moved out here all of our stuff was water damaged in the move and most of it had to be tossed! So I'm glad you all had better luck!! I've been wondering and thinking of you often over the last few weeks. I'm so glad to know you are there safe and all is well! Good luck to Ben in school! Can't wait for the pictures! :)
wow! welcome back to Utah! I'm sure it's nice to be back this way...and like you said away from the humidity. Good luck with getting everything worked out. Let me know if you make it down this way so we can meet up!
