The past week has certainly been exciting. After 9 months of living in my parent's basement we finally have an apartment of our own! While we are grateful for my parent's generousity in allowing us to live with them until an apartment opened up in the complex we wanted, our living situation certainly took its toll on everyone. As we were walking through the apartment after getting approved I almost started to cry. Especially when I walked into the kitchen. It will be so nice to have our own kitchen again! Once we got our new keys we went and got a few necessities from the house and then stopped by the grocery store for a couple days worth of food. As we were pulling back in to our apartment Maddie was noting the letters on the buildings. She asked Ben which letter was on our building and he responded, "F. F for Friend." Maddie replied, "Awwww! Because we're in love with each other! All three of us...oh, I mean all four of us." What a perfectly sweet ending to a very exciting day.
In other thoughts...it's amazing how many minute characteristics can be genetic. I often wake up in the middle of the night to find Ben sleeping on his back with his hands under his head as if he's getting ready to do a sit up (in fact, I've even been elbowed in the face a couple times). Maddie is definitely a back sleeper as well and it is not rare that I find her in the morning sleeping with her hands behind her head as well. Who knew that preferred sleeping position could be inherited. Here's the little booger taking after her daddy.

Congrats on the new place. I know EXACTLY how you feel after doing it for 19 months (and not even in the basement!) Now we'll have to come visit!
Yeah! At least we had a place to get away if we needed to! And for 19 months?!? I don't know how you did it! Oh my gosh, we would LOVE if you came and visited! Don't even tease us. We miss you guys so much!
