We've all been home for 3 glorious days now! We are having a great (stress free!) time getting to know the newest member of our family. It looks like Ben and I lucked out and made another very mellow baby. Since Hayes has been born I have heard him cry (literally) about 4 times. No kidding. Even in the middle of the night when he wakes up hungry he just calls to me with little grunts and squeeks and I know it's time to eat! He doesn't require rocking or bouncing to get back to sleep either. I just lay him down after he eats and if he's not quite ready he looks around for a little while enthralled by his surroundings. When he gets tired he drifts off to dream land. Speaking of dream land - when he does dream he makes the cutest faces! He raises his little eyebrows, puckers his lips, grins, and sometimes even pouts. He's so funny! But the thing he does that makes me laugh the most happens when it's time to eat. The first thing I do after sitting down to feed him is put a burp rag under his chin (he's a dribbler). He then whips his little head to one side and tries to latch onto the burp rag. What a silly baby!
Here's a couple pictures that our little photographer Maddie took of him yesterday.

Our little Maddie keeps us laughing as well. I have no idea where she got this one but this morning Hayes was laying on his blanket on the living room floor. He started to wiggle around and fuss a little so Maddie came to me and said, "Mom, where's the babysitter?" In fact, she was asking about the pacifier.
